About Karan Arjun

Karan Arjun is an Indian Bollywood film starring Salman Khan, Shahrukh Khan, Kajol, Mamta Kulkarni, Raakhee, Amrish Puri, Johnny Lever and Ranjeet. The film was directed by Rakesh Roshan and written by Ravi Kapoor and Sachin Bhowmick. Karan Arjun is a mix of an upbeat Bollywood musical, religious overtones and an action movie. The film released on 13 January 1995. It was the second highest grossing film of the year, ranking as blockbuster.

Durga Singh (Raakhee Gulzar) is a widowed woman who raises her two sons, Karan(Salman Khan) and Arjun(Sharukh Khan) .She loves her two sons very much and belive that they are her reason to live.They buy her bangles but she refuses to wear them and says she will keep the for her daughter-in-laws.Karan and Arjun's father was murdered by his evil brother Durjan Singh (Amrish Puri)but they were told that her left their mother.They are shattered to hear their father was murdered.Durjan then kills Karan and Arjun when he learns that they are to inherit the money their dying grandfather is leaving behind. Durga cannot accept the death of her sons. She prays to Goddess Kali to bring her sons back to life. Durjan and his family often immitate her prayers and constantly remind her that her sons were killed and give her garlands to put over her sons picture.Durga tells them that she will put those same garlands around them soon.
